Godwin Emefiele: A Rare Breed
By Dr jalarth Uche Opara
He returned N4 Trillion from his loot. Surrendered ownership of six banks linked to him. N12 Trillion allegedly recovered as loots under his regime.
He looks so innocent, unassuming but brutal with his fingers. He wanted to become the President of this country at a time. Got the endorsement of many. One can only imagine what this country would have turned into under his watch.Nigeria is quite an interesting place. A place where public servants are brazen in corruption, live above their means, bold in putting their hands in the till, and courageous in displaying it arrogantly.
Nigeria isn’t as poor as we are compelled to believe. Averagly rich to take care of all the basic needs of the masses without anyone going to bed without a meal. Sadly the likes of Emefiele through their greed, insatiability, insensitive and crazy looting plunged us into this mess of economy and abject poverty, roasting the masses into chars.
What would one ask God to do with him and his likes? Forgive them ? Or strike them with the most dangerous thunder? Rest their souls in peace or grant them pardon for all the atrocities committed to Nigerians?
The choice is yours to make your wishes and in the place of God to either answer or ignore. Honestly these men with kleptomania tendencies are not human with Godly spirit. They are something else, very abhorrent.
Beyond the recovery of these loots, is what would they be used for? Re-looted? Used to better the welfare of the already shrivelled masses or engage the loot to fuel the insanity of those in power. Nigeria is an interesting place, only God would save us.
