Miss Jessie James-Wakili, a Primary Five pupil of Britarch Schools, Abuja, joyfully celebrated her 10th birthday in grand style.

The event, held in Lugbe, Abuja, attracted her classmates, friends, family members, and well-wishers. A major highlight of the celebration was a Sip and Paint session organized for some of her classmates and friends.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Samuel Asom, a teacher with Government Secondary School, Lugbe, commended the celebrant and her parents for introducing an artistic painting activity to mark the special day. He noted that such creative engagements could inspire other children, especially students, to develop a passion for art.

Mr. Asom further advised parents to support their children in acquiring entrepreneurial and vocational skills to enable them become self-reliant and future employers of labour. He also urged school proprietors, especially at the primary and secondary levels, to incorporate skill acquisition and vocational training into their curricula to better prepare students for life beyond school.

Some of Jessie’s classmates and friends — Queen, Abubakar, and Ziora — who participated in the Sip and Paint described the initiative as a welcome development. They noted that the experience enhanced their appreciation for art and encouraged other parents to include educational and creative programmes in their children’s birthday celebrations to promote learning and talent development.
