The Kebbi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed a statement credited to Hon. Kingsley T. Ogga, who allegedly spoke on behalf of the ADC State Chairmen Forum, claiming to reaffirm Engr. Bala Sufiyanu as the party’s chairman in Kebbi State and threatening disciplinary action against Dr.

Sadeeq Sule-Iko Sami, PhD.

In a statement signed by the Head of Media, Hajia Zalihat Mohd Damu, on behalf of the Kebbi State ADC Stakeholders and made available to City Post in Abuja on Monday night, the party described Ogga’s remarks as misleading, unauthorized, and lacking constitutional validity.

“The general public and members of our great party are advised to disregard the publication in its entirety,” the statement read. “The ADC Chairmen Forum has no jurisdiction or authority to interfere in the internal affairs of any state chapter of the party.”

The statement further emphasized that the administration and leadership of each state chapter remain the exclusive responsibility of the State Executive Committee, duly recognized by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

“Any attempt by an external group to override legitimate decisions at the state level will be strongly resisted,” it added.

Reaffirming Dr. Sadeeq Sule-Iko Sami as the legitimate and recognized ADC Chairman in Kebbi State, the stakeholders noted that his nomination was made by the state’s party leaders and duly acknowledged by the National Headquarters.

The Kebbi ADC Stakeholders also urged members of the ADC Chairmen Forum to concentrate on strengthening the party in their respective states ahead of the 2027 general elections instead of engaging in divisive and unprofessional actions.

“Such interference undermines party unity and distracts from our collective mission of building the ADC as a credible political alternative across Nigeria,” the statement continued.

“The Kebbi State chapter under Dr. Sadeeq Sule-Iko Sami remains united, focused, and committed to the growth of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and to upholding the principles of internal democracy,” the statement concluded.
