The Nasarawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the appointment of Hon. Idris Ojoko, former Personal Assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor, as its new State Publicity Secretary.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued in Lafia on Thursday evening by the State Coordinator of the ADC Coalition Committee and former Deputy Governor of the State, Chief John Mike Abdul.
Chief Abdul described Ojoko as a vibrant and dedicated young leader whose passion for public communication and democratic development aligns with the party’s core vision and mission.
According to the statement, Ojoko’s outstanding record in media engagement, youth mobilization, and grassroots political communication across the state informed his selection for the role.
The statement further noted that the appointment is part of the ADC’s broader efforts to strengthen its media and public relations framework in preparation for upcoming political activities both within the state and nationally.
Chief Abdul commended Ojoko’s integrity, professionalism, and creativity, describing him as a committed advocate of participatory democracy and good governance.
“The party is confident that Ojoko’s wealth of experience in advocacy, communication, and leadership will bring immense value to the ADC family in Nasarawa State,” he stated.
The committee also urged party members, supporters, and the public to give their full support and cooperation to the new Publicity Secretary as he takes on his responsibilities.
