As the 2027 general elections draw closer, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central zone have inaugurated the Benue State office of the Ahmed Bola Tinubu (ABT) Support Group 2027 in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

During the commissioning, the stakeholders also declared their endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

The Chief Convener and National Coordinator of the group, Dr. Mathias Byuan, emphasized the need to begin consultations across the North Central states to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election, citing his notable achievements within two years in office.

He explained that the consultations would continue across the zone ahead of the official commencement of political activities by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“We will work for the President to secure 100 percent of the votes in this zone. What we are doing here today shows that there is no challenge anywhere,” Byuan stated.

Byuan, who also serves as the Executive Director of Housing, Finance and Accounts at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), assured that his team would collaborate closely with the North Central APC leader, Senator George Akume, to ensure victory for President Tinubu.

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 was already assured with a landslide victory.

Represented by Senator Jacob Tiley-Gyado, Akume noted that under his leadership of the APC in the North Central zone, the forthcoming election would be a walkover for the President.
