Parliamentarian Reaffirms Commitment to Farming and Socio-Economic Growth in AMAC/Bwari

Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the House of Representatives, has reiterated his commitment to promoting initiatives that support local farmers and drive socio-economic development across the constituency.
In a press release issued on Friday by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Amb. Emenike Egbusunwa, the lawmaker emphasized the need to preserve cultural values while strengthening unity and development. He made the remarks while marking the New Year through his participation in the annual Bwaya Yam Festival held in Bwari Area Council.
The festival, which celebrates the agricultural heritage and cultural identity of the Bwaya community, featured traditional rites, cultural displays, and performances that highlighted the community’s rich customs.
Hon. Obika’s presence at the event further demonstrated his commitment to supporting and promoting the cultural traditions of his constituents.
He was accompanied by key party stakeholders from the FCT and Bwari Area Council. The delegation included Hon. Johnson Ayo, the 2027 Campaign Coordinator for Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika (MHR) in Bwari Area Council, alongside other notable dignitaries.
The lawmaker expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and extended his best wishes to the people of Bwaya, praying for a prosperous and fruitful New Year.
