REGAINED V I R G I N I T Y
By Dr jalarth Uche Opara
We were all born tabula rasa , a blank slate. Like a clean sheet of paper, nothing was engraved on the mind at birth.
Life, environment, relationships, and destiny gradually write their stories on us.In that journey, I discovered V I R G I N I T Y not merely a physical idea, but a powerful system of values that defines the essence of a life well lived.
When present, it brightens one’s path, sharpens purpose, and makes one’s aura attractive for meaningful impact. When absent, life loses its glow and the spirit becomes dim. I once carried these nine letters close to my chest like gold, guarding them like an egg , carefully protected from anything that could break them.
But one day, I lost my V I R G I N I T Y. Not with a loud crash, but through a slow and silent erosion. One letter fell, then another, until all were gone. I did not realize the loss until I found myself staring at emptiness. Yet I refused to remain there. Like a wounded lion, I fought back. Today, my V I R G I N IT Y is restored fully regained, with no letter missing.
V – Vitality
I – Inspiration
R – Righteousness
G – Greatness
I – Integrity
N – Newness
I – Impact
T – Tenderness
Y – Yieldedness
This sacred season of lent invites us to pause and examine ourselves: Have you lost your V I R G I N I T Y?
Are you recovering it?
Or by the grace of this season, have you already regained it?
The tragedy of life is not losing your V I R G I N I T Y, but refusing to fight to regain it. Grace still writes new beginnings for those who dare to return.
Life may scatter the letters of your V I R G I N I T Y, but courage, reflection, and grace can gather them again. Lose the letters if you must but never lose the will to reclaim them.
True restoration is not pretending the fall never happened; it is rising again with every lost letter restored.
A man truly lives again the day he recovers the letters that once defined his soul- V I R G I N I TY !
Look for your own letters this lenten season and guard them like a diamond.
