Tinubu Declares Readiness for 2027 Election, Gains APC Backing

President Bola Tinubu has filled and submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms, signaling his readiness to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Vice President Kashim Shettima submitted the forms on behalf of the President at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, where party leaders, governors, and lawmakers gathered to show support for the President’s second-term ambition.
Speaking at the event, the Vice President said President Tinubu had demonstrated courage and capacity in steering the country through difficult economic reforms aimed at stabilizing the nation and securing a better future for Nigerians.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, described President Tinubu’s leadership as bold and transformative, noting that the administration’s reforms have placed Nigeria on the path of recovery and progress.
On his part, the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, said the President’s achievements across critical sectors had justified the party’s endorsement of his reelection bid.
He added that APC governors and party members remained united in support of President Tinubu’s candidature.
