WEAK BASHING OF SOLUDO’S SON

Life is a deeply personal journey best lived with independence of conscience, strength of will, and a deliberate pursuit of one’s destiny.

Nothing stifles the expression of human potential more than living through the narrow lenses of parental orchestration, societal expectations, and the suffocating pressure of peer approval.
Trending in recent times is Ozonna, son of Professor Charles Soludo , the Executive Governor of AnambraState. His short, sharp video clips have stirred conversations across different spaces.

To some, those clips fall short of the pedigree of his family seen as a dent on a path beautifully paved by his parents, even interpreted as a betrayal of a supposedly “quintessential” heritage. And so, the labels began to fly.

A black sheep.
A nonconformist.
A pariah.
An outlier.
An anomaly.

But beyond the noise, one must ask: Is Ozonna truly a square peg in a round hole or simply misunderstood mind?

Many are quick to answer in the affirmative not on the strength of verifiable facts, but on conclusions brewed in the cauldron of assumption and served as truth. He has been called names some even going as far as branding him a drug addict, questioning his identity, and presenting him as a symbol of shame to his father. Yet, where is the evidence? There is nothing mentally, socially, psychologically, or spiritually that conclusively indicts him. On the contrary, a closer look reveals depth. His music carries l words textured with thought, far removed from pedestrian expression.

His conversations reflect a mind that is analytical, deliberate, and strikingly aware. This is not the rambling of confusion; it is the articulation of a mind that has chosen to think beyond the ordinary.
What many interpret as deviance may, in fact, be evolution. Ozonna appears to operate on a wavelength that the average mind struggles to interpret values identity over inheritance, purpose over privilege. In a society where many are eager to bask in reflected glory, he seems to have chosen the harder path: self-definition. And that, perhaps, is the real discomfort.

It unsettles many that a young man, born into influence and affluence, would consciously detach from it not out of rebellion, but out of a desire to discover himself. In a culture where golden spoons are not just used but displayed, his willingness to sometimes “eat with a wooden spoon” in pursuit of purpose feels almost like an affront to expectation. But is it?
Or is it courage? A desire that drives one, disregarding affluence, fame and power at their beck and call.

He is not trying to be a reflection of his father. He is crafting his own mirror one that bears his image, not a borrowed identity. He seeks to be measured not by lineage, but by legacy yet to be built but in progression.

Ironically, many of his loudest critics may never attain the clarity he exhibits. Some walk prestigious paths not out of passion, but parental pressure leaving behind trails of mediocrity in professions they never truly embraced with love and commitment.

In that sense, Ozonna may already be ahead. Ahead of those who confuse conformity for success.Ahead of those who inherit identity but never discover purpose.Ahead of those who weaponize societal expectations against individuality and personal peace of mind.

He is certainly ahead of those privileged offspring of our politicians who exploit their parents’ influence often built on the backs of the very masses they disregard. What we are witnessing may not be a fall from grace but a departure from public expectation. Not a disgrace of family pedigree but an assertion of his deeper call for self awareness.

And history has shown, time and again, that those who dare to be different are often misunderstood until they are eventually understood, if they would.

*I actually love and accept myself. I put up what I like on my social media, and if it pisses you so much, that’s something you should work on*.” –Ozonna

Is it an abomination to be very expressive, so much so the shout and cries of public and family influences become silenced and non effective?

I guess we should allow Ozonna to explore his uniqueness, discover his destined path and become happy in his space for doing what excites him.

Ozonna to the best of my knowledge isn’t a disgrace to his family pedigree. To the umpteenth time, Ozonna is better than those spoilt children of our depraved and mindless politicians constituting nuisance here and there with our public funds
