Why I Married Mr Eazi – Temi Otedola

Nigerian actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has opened up on the true reason she married Afrobeats star, Mr Eazi.

In a recent interview with the BBC, Temi explained that her decision went beyond considerations of fame and fortune, noting that the singer is her best friend and closest companion.

According to her, she could not imagine spending her life with anyone else.

When asked what made her say “yes” to Mr Eazi, Temi responded:

“There are too many reasons. How will I choose one? First and foremost, he is my best friend. That’s my person. And when you meet your person, you just know. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else.

“He’s the person I’m excited to spend every day with; to build our lives together, go through ups and downs, celebrate, solve problems, and keep moving forward. He’s simply my person. We’re just excited about what the future holds.”

On why she decided to take her husband’s surname, Temi said:
“I’m now a married woman, and for me, the obvious thing is to take my husband’s name. But it’s my personal choice. I also respect every woman’s right to decide for herself.”

The actress further explained that keeping her relationship private has helped her maintain control over her personal narrative.
