Abuja: Chinweokwu Weds Mugurel As Ex-IGP Tasks Couples On Good Family Values
A former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Sir Mike Okiro has advised couples in the country to always imbibe good family values to further ensure the betterment of the society.
Sir Mike Okiro gave the advice in Abuja during the Wedding Ceremony of Chinweokwu Esther Anyijiofor and Mugurel Marian Olaru.
The former IGP who attributed the high rates of crimes in the country to the breakdown of family values enjoined the newly wedded couple to make God the head of their family.
While congratulating the couple on the occasion, Sir Mike Okiro stressed the need for both the bride and the bridegroom to avoid the negative influence of third party in their matrimonial home.
Also in his congratulatory remarks, the Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Alhaji Jaji AbdulGani described marriage as an institution ordained by God hence the need for the couple to uphold its sanctity.
Alhaji AbdulGani therefore prayed God to bless the couple with the fruits of the womb.
Earlier, the Parents of the Bride, Amb Dr Frank Obi Anyijiofor who were elated with their daughter’s wedding wished them God’s guidance and blessings as they settle down to build their home.
While also praying God for fruits of the womb for them, they appreciated the guests for honouring them on the occasion.
Other speakers and well wishes at the wedding ceremony congratulated the parents and the couple for the successful wedding.
Highlights of the occasion were special prayers for the couple, breaking of kola nut and presentation of gifts to the couple among others.
