ANIKE AGBAJE WILLIAM’S DEATH – EXIT OF A BROADCASTING AMAZON
The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria has received the news of the death of a golden voice of broadcasting and the first face of Television in the continent of Africa Mrs Anike Agbaje Williams who died on Thursday 27th February 2025 at age 88.
The golden voice of the tube, Mrs Anike Agbaje Williams ( knee Kuforji), was a foremost media practitioner who pioneered programme presentation on radio and television.
As one of the pioneer staff of Western Nigeria Broadcasting Service(WNBS) & WesternNigeriaTelevision( WNTV) Mrs Anike Agbaje Williams bequeathed solid foundations for broadcasting as a news caster,continuity announcer, programme presenter, and producer of high repute.
She spent all her life as a role model for the upcoming generations of broadcasters as a thoroughbred professional broadcaster, mentor, and manager whose legacy in broadcasting will forever be cherished.
While we pray to the Almighty God to repose her soul, we commiserate with her immediate family in particular and all professional broadcasters from across Africa where she had a positive impact on several people through her professional practice.
