CAN MOURNS DEATH OF POPE FRANCIS

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has joined the Christain community to mourn the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

CAN President, Most Reverend Daniel Okoh in a statement says Pope Francis was a towering figure of faith whose papaly radiated mercy, justice and love for humanity.

According to Most Reverend Daniel Okoh, his unwavering commitment to interfaith dialogue brought hope for peace and unity in the world in the face of challenges.

He noted that Pope Francis’ bold stance against poverty, corruption, and inequality strongly resonated with Christians, and urged everyone to uphold the dignity of every Nigerian.

The CAN President prayed for the peaceful repose of Pope Francis’ soul and for his legacy to continue to inspire citizens for a more united and righteous Nigeria.
