Bishop Extols Late Bro Law Nkwoh, Sends Condolence Letter to Family

The Catholic Diocese of Okigwe has extended heartfelt condolences to Sr. Mary Eudes Nkwoh and her family following the death of her father, Mr.
Lawrence (Bro. Law) Nkwoh.The condolence letter signed by Most Rev. Solomon A. Amatu, Catholic Bishop of Okigwe, and addressed to Sr.
Mary Eudes Nkwoh of St. Mary’s Parish, Amuzi, Obowo described the late Mr. Nkwoh as a man whose life was rooted in faith, love, and service.According to the Bishop, Bro. Law Nkwoh was widely known for his love of peace, unity, and deep reverence for God. He noted that the deceased lived an exemplary life marked by integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his family and Christian service.
Bishop Amatu highlighted Mr. Nkwoh’s long-standing role as a leader of the Maranatha Prayer Group of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, where he inspired many through his zeal, strong faith, and trust in God.
The Bishop offered words of consolation drawn from Scripture, quoting 2 Timothy 4:7–8: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith…” He added that while Mr. Nkwoh’s earthly journey had ended, the church takes solace in the belief that he now enjoys eternal rest among the saints.
“May his life of faith and service continue to inspire all who knew him,” the Bishop prayed, asking God to comfort the family during their bereavement.
He concluded by commending the soul of Bro. Law Nkwoh to God’s mercy, saying, “May the gentle soul of Bro. Law Nkwoh rest in perfect peace. Amen.”
