Former Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Mike Omeri Agbo Omeri, who emerged as the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has expressed appreciation to party supporters across Nasarawa State, particularly those in the Southern Senatorial District, for their overwhelming support towards his emergence as the PDP candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.

Dr. Omeri, in a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Monday in Abuja, described the support that culminated in his victory as an unprecedented show of love and confidence from party faithful and supporters. He assured the people that their trust would not go unnoticed.
According to the statement, the victory belongs to the people of Nasarawa State, particularly the Southern Senatorial District, as well as the PDP family. He stressed that unity and collective commitment remain critical to the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
“The consensus we reached proves what is possible when we put collective interest first. I pledge to remain accessible, consultative, and committed to a campaign that reflects every ward and community in our district.
“Let us keep this spirit alive. Together, we will secure the strong, effective, people-centered representation Nasarawa South deserves in 2027. The winners of the primaries are merely flag bearers, while the ultimate victory of our party depends on the collective efforts, unity, and support of all party members.
“I thank the good people of Nasarawa South and the entire PDP family in Nasarawa State for the unity and discipline shown during the consensus process in Lafia. To our party officials, state, zonal, local government, and ward executives and leaders, thank you for a transparent and orderly exercise.
“To our elders, thank you for your wisdom and guidance. To our youths and women, your turnout and sacrifice show that Nasarawa South is ready for the work ahead.”
The statement further commended all aspirants and their supporters for their courage and gallant participation during the consensus process, urging them to close ranks and work together for the overall success of the PDP from the grassroots to the state level.
The statement expressed confidence that peace and unity remain the bedrock for meaningful development and sustainable progress, noting that they represent the yearning and aspirations of the people of Nasarawa State.
