NCPC to Commence 2025 Main Pilgrimage Exercise to Israel and Jordan on December 29
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has announced that all necessary arrangements have been concluded for the airlift of intending pilgrims to Israel and Jordan, scheduled to commence on December 29, 2025.
Bishop Adegbite disclosed this on December 17 during the Commission’s 2025 Christmas Carol held at the NCPC Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Expressing confidence in the success of the 2025 Main Pilgrimage Exercise, the NCPC boss noted that both the appointed ground handlers and air carrier have given assurances of efficient and quality service delivery throughout the exercise.
In his exhortation at the event, Bishop Adegbite reflected on the spiritual essence of the Christmas season, describing it as a period that conveys messages of joy, hope, grace and glad tidings. He emphasized that Christmas celebrates the greatest gift to humanity—the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to redeem mankind.
He urged staff and friends of the Commission to remain steadfast in their “labour of love,” assuring them that their sacrifices would yield rewards. According to him, the festive season signifies unending joy, declaring that there would be reasons for celebration in their families as a result of their service to God.
Bishop Adegbite commended the staff of the Commission for their resilience, dedication and commitment throughout the year, encouraging them to remain focused and optimistic, with the assurance that better days lie ahead.
He also expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their continued support of Christian pilgrimage activities. Reaffirming Nigeria’s sovereignty, he stated that the nation cannot be intimidated and expressed optimism that the challenges of kidnapping and banditry would soon be overcome, with those behind such acts exposed.
