The Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami has advised christians to see challenges as necessity towards attaining greatness in life.

Reverend Oyelami gave the advice today in his sermon during the Church’s first Sunday service in Gwagwalada Abuja.

In the sermon entitled “Facing Your Battle Of Rehoboth”, the Clergyman enjoined christians to always walk with God and ignore any distraction from the realm of darkness towards overcoming challenges.

Taking his text from the book of Judges chapter 7;verse 12 to 23, Reverend Oyelami said obedience to God’s commandments is key towards ensuring breakthrough in one’s endeavours.

According to him, negligence to the teachings and lessons of the bible might hinder the journey of any christians to their Rehoboth.

In his words “As a Christian, always hearken to the words and instructions of God and desist from any act detrimental to christiandom to enable him or her overcome challenges standing as blocking stones in winning the battles of getting to their promise land which is Rehoboth”.

While reminding the congregation that no one can stand in the way of God concerning their journey to Rehoboth, Reverend Deji Oyelami stressed the need for them to empty themselves before God and be steadfast in faith and prayer towards attracting divine blessings and breakthrough.
