The Cross The Ultimate Sign Of Valentine

The wind of red and white colours with a red heart isn’t blowing as it used to this year . Previously the wind by now would have been everywhere, creating sensations, waves and emotional tickles from all corners.

This year’s own seems low with low enthusiasm from people to paint the day red.

“Edon red” everywhere, and the situation has caused red eyes of frustration, lack, anxiety and depression. Nothing is on top of mind awareness than how to survive and get through this shrinking and squeezing economic crisis.

Love, through the lenses of valentine is one that comes with mundane expressions of desires, instinct and energies, oftentimes misguided and misexpressed.

I have no grumpy grudges against the storyline of valentine, a story that depicts sacrifice, selflessness and desire to protect the most what benefits others more than what benefits one.

It is one storyline that would always give one moments for introspection, thinking deep the futility of life and its mundane desires to a higher pursuit of something that lasts.

Go back and read the story behind the celebration of valentine and try to fix it into the jigsaw of what majority celebrate as valentine, it will certainly be disaligned.

When the bible said that the heart of a man is desperately wicked, it gives one a chilly impression of the deceitfulness of the heart in its unbroken and unregenerated state. It can do a lot in this state that possibly would cause cracks in ones relationship with God, the sore experience of many and the wounds sustained in the process most times fester to a malignant degree.

This year’s lover’ day, I take you off the mood of the conventional razzmataz of valentine to a valentine through the lenses of the cross. A valentine that brings healing, salvation, peace, joy and happines to souls distressed, torn apart and mangled by the wind of incontinence, concupiscence and the whirlwind of ungodly acts.

I take you to cross version of valentine away from the worldly ❤️ version. The former brings to an end vices and virus that bring to the lowest point ones weakness while the latter accentuates in many the destructive canality of ones emotion, passion and sentiments.

14th February, let us go to the cross to slay our vices and wash off our ungodly thought with the blood of the lamb.

2025 14th February, a date at the foot of the crosss, pleading the blood on our nation for healing and restoration.

Come with me this day,14th of Febuary to lay prostrate before the cross, on it was hung the messiah for the salvation of our country.

Come with me this day 14th of Feb this Friday to swim into the red ocean of Christ’ love to make a new our old selves of reprobate mind of iniquities.

Come with me to the cross, the ultimate sign of valentine for a celebration of love that is inherently restorative, salvific and redemptive, the things our families, churches, societies etc need. The love of God for humanity is seen through Christ expressed on the cross where his life was poured for our sake
