Tiwa Savage Opens Up on Painful Past Relationship: “He Entertained Other Women While Looking at Me Like, Don’t Worry”

Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has revealed details of a past relationship that left her feeling disrespected and emotionally drained.

Speaking in a recent interview, she recounted how she once dated a popular celebrity who insisted on keeping their relationship private. According to a report by Sun Nigeria on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Tiwa disclosed that whenever they attended public events together, the man acted like they were complete strangers.

To conceal their connection, he would openly laugh, chat, and even get physically close to other women, leaving her to watch in silence. Despite being in a relationship with him behind closed doors, his public behavior created the impression that he was single.

Tiwa described the experience as deeply disrespectful, explaining that she felt voiceless and unable to challenge his actions because speaking up would have exposed what he was determined to hide. The constant emotional strain of enduring such situations eventually made the relationship painful and exhausting.

“He had it good,” she recalled. “We might be at the same event, and he’s probably talking, laughing, even touching other ladies while still looking at me like, ‘Don’t worry, I’m just doing it.’ And I couldn’t say anything. It was happening right in front of me.”
